Goodbye 2025. Hello 2026!

2025 is finally in review! Wow, another year down already. I still feel like COVID was just last year, yet here we are. I can only hope my coming year is just as busy. What landmark accomplishments did you achieve in 2025? Tell me in the comments!

January -Introduction to Birds with Words, Appearance on Written & Watched, formally announced Alone Together!

February - Title page typeface poll for Alone Together!

March - Birds with Words, Episode 2: A Fold to Extinction - Inspiration, social media fallout for independent authors, featured as an author on Indiosyncrasy!

April - Alone Together cover art teaser, Birds with Words, Episode 3: Portraits, Narrated by Michael Parkes, Appeared on Dad Dialogue, my short story Toy Robot read on Lunatics Project, formal announcement about the Dark Veil Society!

May - Alone Together, Redacted Report, Cover Reveal for Alone Together, Birds with Words Episode 4: An Author's Decision with Sage Greer, I was featured on the DadLit Podcast, Interview with Shaun Jooste - a Dark Veil Society author, and The Dark Veil Society releases their official Website!

June - Birds with Words, Episode 5: Hero's Downfall - Narrated. Alone Together is released! Josh from Already Overbooked wins the hardcover copy of Alone Together, Tome Tavern reviews Sinner's Pass as their first horror novel, and finally I share all the fake news articles associated with Alone Together!

July - Birds with Words, Episode 6: Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Glen Weatherhead, Alone Together gets its own soundtrack, the sequel to Alone Together is announced, Interview with Jose Trevino - a Dark Viel Society author, I was interviewed on Booked!

August - Birds with Words, Episode 7: Horror and Science Fiction with the Peevish Penman, I appear on Already Overbook for a live interview and do a cover reveal for Alone Together: Factions, Interview with Ryan Krone - a Dark Veil Society author, I appear on Indie Author Road Trip, and I do another live interview with Plot Armor on X! This was a heavy month! Not only did all the above happen, but Alone Together came in 2nd place for the Dark Veil Society's Jigsaw competition for best horror novel (congratulations to the Clatter Man for winning). I also rolled the dice on several competitions and entered Alone Together, and I used a *secret* work in progress for a short story competition for StarPath Creative. If that's all not enough, I permanently reduced the Kindle price for both Alone Together and A Fold to Extinction.

September - I turned 34 (I think that's right, like 99% sure that's right). Sinner's Pass turns one year old as well. Pre-orders for Alone Together: Factions went live. I announced my collaboration project with Shaun Jooste for A Killer Mind in Birds with Words, Episode 8: Shaun Jooste, Silent Hill, & Sinner's Pass! My Substack received an updated look, and Birds with Words got a shiny new logo of its own.

October - Alone Together: Factions is released! I share my first Alone Together themed cocktail, Fuel Run on my newsletter. Birds with Words releases episodes 9 and 10 with Faith from One Eyed Monsters where we discuss Resident Evil.

November - My second Alone Together cocktail, Eye of Ayad is released on my newsletter, and I host the first ever LIVE episode of Birds with Words featuring L.N. Holmes! I learn that I was a finalist in the Starpath Creative contest, but did not win—all's well that ends well!

December - I reveal my grandfather's military records in honor of 84th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Rod Gilley invites me to appear on Relax and Chat.
